All of us in the computer industry are used to change. You blink your eye and poof, things are completely different. Yet there are still defining periods. Oh to us that remember the days of DOS, your dull gray prompt and single threaded self. Now we must bid farewell to another of the operating system titans that defined the landscape of personal computing: Windows XP. Read the rest of this entry »
Quick WEP hack with the AA1
April 2, 2009So I would safe to say that pretty much everyone knows wireless security is a joke. Really all it does is make a would-be bandwidth thief look for a unsecured connection first. With the Acer Aspire One you have yourself a portable WiFi-buster that couldn’t be much simpler to use.
Now remember, breaking someone’s WiFi encryption is illegal, and quite honestly the charges associated with jumping on someones access point without permission are ridiculous. Its not worth even trying if you do not have the owner’s concent. If you do though, you can scare the living shit out of them with this. Read the rest of this entry »
Deus Ex Machina
April 2, 2009As I mentioned in my previous post one of the things I plan on discussing here is netbooks. No, I’m not going to try and be yet another netbook review site. If you want one of those you should check out Liliputing. You can also use Google to find the umpteen billion others.

And so it begins again…
April 1, 2009Yeah, I know… I’m starting another blog. That’s my problem… my ideas, designs, etc are always evolving into something else so I always feel the need to redesign. Hopefully by offloading this to a hosted solution (versus my own “in-house” solutions of the past) I will be less likely to scrap it all and start over… again.
I suppose you would like to know what this blog is about, eh? Well, I don’t really know. I imagine it will turn into more of a dumping ground of my mental state, exposing to the world what may or may not be relevant information. Most of the time it will probably be me bitching, a lot.
A few areas of interest that will most likely continue to surface are: netbooks, technology, psychology/sociology, productivity, anal retentive organization, astrology and the mind.
Bookmark the page (or don’t… I probably wouldn’t) and come back later. I might have cookies.
